Give reason: We say a tree on road is stationary, but when we are in the moving train, we see that trees are moving fast in the direction opposite to that of the train.​

On the other hand, distant objects such as trees, stars, etc. appear stationary because of the large distance.

Explanation:

When you are sitting in a moving train, the object close to the train appears to move very fast that is because of the line of sight for the object closer to the train is very small and therefore, they move very fast.

Object which are far from the moving train like trees appear to move slowly because of the large line of sight for the farther objects.

As a result the line of sight does not change the direction rapidly
