catalytic converter is a device which convert the harmful gasses into harmless gas.

and we know when automobiles runs they release harmful gasses like SO2,NO2 and CO
If we will use catalytic converter then it will covert these harmful gasses into harmless gas.

just it will convert the CO into CO2.
