candle is made up of wax . wax is a hydrocarbon ie it has carbon and hydrogen .when a candle burns the carbon of the candle burns in an atmosphere of O2 to produce Co2 .

REACTION -

C + O2 ---> CO2

this a chemical change as we cannot get Carbon from Co2

burning of a candle is a chemical change because the Vic of the candle get burned and convert into ashes , vapours etc. This indicates that when some energy is given to the Vic in form of heat the reaction takes place in which the single substance Vic burnes and produces by products.

Aman2NR: Mark me brainliest if u understand the answer . I forgot to mention that it is irreversible change. because you can not retrive the Vic from the products that is ash , etc. you should also know that bunny go back and the candles physical change because no new product is formed and the change is also reversible. please please mark me as brainliest
Aman2NR: thank you so much
