salt water is more denser than river water as it contains salt. so, it becames easier to swim in sea water as we actually float on water.

sea water is salty means it has high salt content as compared to fresh water and we know that upthrust (the upward force that a liquid or gas exerts on a body floating in it) is exerted more in salt water as compared to river water or fresh water...thus due to buoyancy or upthrust it is easy to swim in sea water because body floats
