when we do a lot of excercise our cells require more amount of oxygen supply because of which our heart starts to pump blood faster. 
Sometimes the oxygen supply is not sufficient for some cells such as muscle cells.
The muscle cells release lactic acid as the glucose breaks down in absence of oxygen.
this causes pain.


adding to this, Ice baths help a lot to get rid of muscle pain.
