When hydrogen is heated with nitrogen at 450 - 500 0 C / 2000 - 3000 0 C in the presence of the catalyst iron or platinium, ammonia is formed. The ammonia formed from hydrogen is used in industries, for the manufacturing of fertilisers, explosives and sulphuric acids.
