Give reason why without competition election will become pointless

it would be really easy for the party to win and there's no point in winning without doing anything, it becomes boring for the party and uninteresting for the party as there is no competition, plus there are no challenges, there are no choices, even the people will not come to vote for the same party again and again ! just like how there's no hero if there's no villain same way there is no point of one party coming again and again without any competition, it becomes boring monotonous and lame
