give reason y cu is used to make hot water tnks and not steel

Copper does not react with hot or cold water but iron reacts with steam to form iron. Although iron don't react with hot water, it may react with atmospheric oxygen or dissolve oxygen in presence of water to form rust. Hence steel is not used to make hot water tanks.
