Explanation:

one of the major reason is the economy of india was mainly based upon agriculture and related industries and all but india cannot stoop at just one position . for the country to run and be more developed in all of the sectors mainly the necessary ones india just cannot depend upon the revenue earned by the agricultural department in order to meet the growing needs of the growing population . the country needs to be more advanced which requires capital which we can get by more earning options , more are the options more are the chances of income . so for more money india opted for mixed economy for more capital . for example it is like if one invests whole money in one company in share market then the man's income depends on that one company which will obviously suffer loss one day but in order to run a whole country just being dependent on one sector is not at all wise so it's better to invest in different sectors if one fails then there is atleast another way another source of economy in order to avoid financial emergency

another reason can be said is that the growing use of machineries due to advancements in science which is leading to less use of human labour which is obviously increasing the comforts and productivity but is also increasing the population of jobless folks which is a major issue so there has to be some other ways for earning money

hope u like my answer n if satisfied then mark the answer as brainliest
