1. Respiration is considered as an exothermic reaction because in respiration oxidation of glucose takes place which produces large amount of heat energy.

2.Due to the lack of oxygen in muscle cells after intensive workout, pyruvate is turned into lactic acid that results in muscle cramps.

3.Gastric juice consists of HCl and enzymes which digest protein. HCl Kills potential germs in the food .HCl also activates inactive enzymes like pepsinogen .Mucus of Gastric juice lubricates the food and also protects stomach lining from acid.Absorption of vitamin B12 occurs because of Gastric juice.
