A) If you add water on acid it forms extremely concentrated solution of acid initially. It causes very voilent boiling of solution splashing concentrated acid out of the container.

B) Sulfuric acid when dissolved in water ionizes to a Hydronium ion (H3O+) and the HSO4- ion. ... Alcohol does not ionize in water, nor as pure alcohol, since it does not dissociate like sulfuric acid, no ions are formed to carry the electricity.

C) When water is added to this flour to make dough, baking powder undergoes a chemical reaction during which carbon dioxide gas is produced. This carbon dioxide gas gets trapped into the dough and bubbles out which causes the cake to rise making it soft and spongy.

D) NH3 is basic in nature,but litmus paper needs ions to change its color. ... On the other hand when NH3 reacts with water,NH4OH(ammonium hydroxide) is formed which is a base and it contains NH4+ ion and OH- ion. Since basic ion is present,hence it changes the red litmus paper blue.
