Give reasons An empty box does not get immersed in water easily.

this is having a specific reason ,this is due to Archimedes principle. Archimedes principle says that if a object having less weight then it will displace some water which is equal to the weight of the object .Here, the weight of the object is less because it is empty therefore it doesn't sink easily.
