The Forests are the home to the wildlife. The wildlife totally depends on the forests on food, shelter and almost for everything. Therefore, the wildlife depends on forests for their lives. And, that forests are being destroyed in many different ways for many different reasons. So, the destruction of forests means the ultimate destruction of wildlife.Below are listed points about the reasons the wildlife is being destroyed :-
1.Cutting trees: Cutting trees in the forest causes deforestation, as well as other problems. Like, when the trees are cut, the birds and animals which used to get food and shelter from the trees will ran away to elsewhere, in search of food and shelter. For this, many plants, birds and animals are being lost from the earth or extinct. And the forest turns into a dry,and barren land. Sometimes, also a desert.
2. Hunting: Hunting in the forest also causes some rare species of animals and birds are being destroyed. So therefore, hunting in the forest can also mean hunting down the forest and its wildlife. Hunting down the animals will also mean the complete destruction of wildlife.
3. Pollution: Pollution also means a disaster for the wildlife. Pollution of water, air and ground causes very much effects upon the animals and birds.
So, all these three reason are the main causes for wildlife destruction. We know now that the forest is a natural resource by heart. As, forest is one of the natural resources in the world, every animal is depended for wildlife and even we, human beings. The number of wildlife forests in the world are declining day by day. So, to save wildlife from destruction, we have to preserve them. As only humans are destroying the forests, so it follows that only we human beings can conserve it.

There are many reasons that lead to depletion and/or extinction of Wildlife across the world. I will try and summarize what in my opinion are the foremost. You have to remember that these points don’t even scratch the scratch on the scratch on the scratch on the surface of the issue. Each by itself requires a ponderous tome to explain the ill effects
Loss of Habitat and Habitat Alteration: As the human population grows, space becomes a premium and with less space being available in cities and towns, the next best thing to do is to encroach on to forest / wild land. Habitat alteration occurs from other invasive activities like over grazing which results in depletion of foliage. Some of the other causes for habitat depletion are: Animal agriculture (forests are cleared to grow fodder); crop agriculture, suburban/rural expansion, commercial activities like logging, mining, road constructions etc. Each one of these have their direct and indirect role in the decline of populations of various species of flora and fauna.
Human Animal Conflict: is a direct result of habitat destruction where the animals wander into human habitation in search of prey and thus ends up being killed.
Poaching and Hunting: Poaching has been a long time enemy of wildlife conservation. The false belief that some animal parts may help you perform better in bed or that it could cure certain ailments has led to the extinction of many species and driving a lot more to being critically endangered. A very good example of this is the Black Rhinoceros and this iconic image of armed guards with what possibly could be the last male on earth. Another example is the Tiger.
Along with poaching, over hunting is another reason for depletion of wildlife. When man hunts for sport, he is destroying prey animals and predators which upsets the balance that nature intended. There is another form of hunting again – where animals are poached live from the wild to populate zoo & private collections and for other commercial purposes like circus, or religious cases like elephants in temples.
On the topic of the balance intended by nature - this hunting and poaching leads to decline in keystone and umbrella species like the elephants which has a cascading effect down the chain over multiple species of flora and fauna.
Pollution: Water pollution leads to the extinction of many aquatic species, not to forget the soil pollution which results from toxic chemicals that leach into the soil and waterbodies all resulting in the decline of innumerous species.
