Hey buddy,

(i) Direct absorption of HCl gas in water causes a highly exothermic reaction. This results in back suction. Therefore, direct absorption of HCl should be avoided.

(ii) Nitric acid is a very strong acid and highly corrosive. It dissolves the cork & rubber part of apparatus. Therefore, it should be done in all glass apparatus.

(iii) Sodium chloride is ionic compound. Large amount of energy is required to break this ionic bond. Therefore, NaCl has high melting point.

Hope it helps...

(ii) As HNO3 is a strong acid and highly corrosive which dissolves the cork and rubber .

(iii) As NaCl is a ionic compound and large amount of energy is required to break this ionic bond .

Hope it's correct and helpfull ☺️
