Give reasons for :-
(i) ventricles have thicker valve than arteries .
(ii) Arteries have thicker valve than veins.
(iii) Herbivores have longer small intestine as compared to carnivorous.
(iv) Mucus is secreted along HCL in stomach.​

Answer:

(i) because blood is pumped by ventricles at high pressure so they are need to be thicker and as the auricles only collect blood so there thinner than ventricles

(ii) as the blood flow in arteries is rapid not in veins so the valve of veins are thinner than arteries.

(iii) because their diet is grass and plants, made up of fibre and cellulose which are hard to digest. As a result the herbivorous animals need a longer digestive track to digest their foods completely

(iv) Mucus is secreted along with the hydrochloric acid to protect the sensitive layers of the stomach.
