Answer:

Air is a poor conductor of heat. When we wear multiple layers of clothes, the air gets trapped between the clothing layers and prevents heat loss from our body. So, multiple layers keep us warmers as compared to a single layer.

Therefore to handle cooking utensils, wood or plastic handles are used. Basically utensils are made of metals and their handles are too made from mostly metals, wood and plastic conduct heat much less than metal due to free electrons running around that help heat to move .

Answer:

More layers of clothing keep us warm in winter's as they have a lot of space between them .This space gets filled up with air . Air is a bad conductor ,it does not allow the body heat to escape out.
