After years and years of river inflow and evaporation, the salt content of the lake water built up to the present levels. The same process made the seas salty. Rivers carry dissolved salts to the ocean. Water evaporates from the oceans to fall again as rain and to feed the rivers, but the salts remain in the ocean.

The Dead Sea is incredibly salty, much more than sea water. As a result its water is denser than sea water and actually denser than your body. You can feel the greater density if you splash your hand through the water. So your body will float in the Dead Sea.

The quality of water is deteriorating because of many reasons-

1) We often get water from polluted sources. The Ganga is an example of a very polluted river which provides water to millions.

2) Water is often 'recycled' i.e sewage is treated and released into a water body. The same water is used again.

3) Many factories release untreated wastes into rivers. This is a major concern.

4)Available fresh water is declining every day. People have to rely on sea water.

Q1:(I don’t know the answer sorry )

Q2:because of more density of water there

Q3: because of presence of common salt (sodium chloride(NaCl))
