What are prime numbers and co-prime? Give examples also so that I can understand.

prime no. are are those no.s which are either divisible by 1 or by itself .
for ex. 2, 3,5,7 etc

and co. prime are the pair of no.s that are only divisible by 1
for example 2and 3, 5and 7, 2and 7 etc.

◆ Prime numbers : - Numbers which have only two factors 1 and itself are called prime numbers. Example - 2 , 3 , 5 , 7 , 11 , etc. These numbers have only two factors 1 and itself.


◆ Co - prime numbers : - Numbers which don't have any highest common factor other than 1 are called co - prime numbers. Example - 20 and 21 , 14 and 23 , 16 and 17 , etc. These numbers do not have any highest common factor other than 1.
