no reservation would be there, then only dominant caste groups will have representation in Parliament. Also the policy that they make will only address the issues of their people and not the needs of SC, ST people.
Also the lower caste, having been discriminated, would never get elected to Parliament when they stand for election. But when all candidates in particular reserved constituency are SC alone, then who ever wins will have the opportunity to represent the lower castes in the Parliament and voice for addressing their issues.
In simple words, it promotes Representative democracy.
