reasons⬇️

  • Sher Shah Suri (1472 - May 1545) (Persian / Pashto: born name Farid Khan) was a Pathan born in India who defeated Humayun in 1540 and established the Suri Empire in North India. Sher Shah Suri had earlier worked as a soldier for Babur, who promoted him to commander in chief and then appointed Governor of Bihar. In 1537, when Humayun was on a remote expedition, Sher Shah captured Bengal and established the Suri dynasty. In 1539, Sher Shah faced Humayun at the Battle of Chausa, which Sher Shah conquered. In 1540, Sher Shah defeated Humayun again and forced him to leave India and took the title of Sher Khan and established his authority over the whole of North India.
