Delhi being North of mumbai gets more sunrays during these months. Because of strong sun the environment and the air around Delhi (and other northern states) become warmer and lighter. Once the air is lighter it rises up creating a low pressure area (kind of partial vaccum) which is filled in by the winds from the West.
