As the monsoon winds which come from the north of India come to the Indian Ocean and directly influence a much causing ocean currents in the Indian Ocean. This is the reason why the ocean currents in the Indian Ocean do not follow the pattern of currents in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans as they are differently influenced by some other winds making the patterns different.
