Evaporation is a cooling process as with the evaporation of water vapours even the latent heat is evaporated. Due to the evaporation of heat , the liquid starts cooking down.

But however it cools the surrounding areas as it requires heat to evaporate and absorbs heat from the surrounding ..
But the liquid heats up to get evaporated..
The surrounding liquid might loose energy though..
