Because leguminous crops have ribozomes in their root.

Explanation:

Ribozomes are basically bacterias which fixes atmospheric nitrogen hence leguminous crops (eg: soyabean,beans,greengram etc.,)dont need nitrogenous fertilizers as much as cereal crops.
