Give reasons why plastids and mitochondria are able to make their own protein

Hey!
Mitochondria are capable of making their own protein because it contains ribosomes which helps it in making its own proteins
And as chloroplast in plastid s contain it's own DNA and ribosomes...it synthesises it's own proteins

There was a theory named "endosymbiotic theory" it stated that mitochondria and plastids were living microorganisms which were engulfed by the eukaryotic
cells and by the time they evolved into mitochondria and chloroplast.
