Reptiles are known as cold-blooded animals not because their blood is cold as ice or something but because they can easily adapt to the surrounding environment or temperature.

Reptiles have the special ability to regulate their warmth of the body and increase it when needed.

That is why with changing environment their body temperature also changes that is why they don’t have a constant body temperature.

Reptiles referred as cold blooded animals as they can easily adapt with the surrounding environment and temperature. They have the ability to regulate the temperature when it needed. That is why,  the body temperature of reptiles changes with changing in the  environment. Thus, it can be said that the body temperature of reptiles is not constant.
