lysosome is called digestive vacuole as it digests the food (phagosome) or liquid (pinosome) and breaks it down into simpler substances to be absorbed and waste to be excreted. this is phagocytosis.

autophagocytosis is when the membrane of lysosome breaks and it's digestive juices digests itself which results in cell death. so they r referred to as suicidal bags
