Answer:

Tasman sea

Explanation:

Tasman sea is located at the southern pacific ocean and it separates the countries Australia from New Zealand. It lies in the coordinates 38°-40° South and 160°-165° East. The average depth of this sea is approximately 5,500 meters. It is comprised of globigerina ooze, siliceous ooze and pteropod ooze that is abundantly present in its seafloor.

The Tasman Sea's mid-ocean ridge in this sea has formed about 55 to 85 million years back when Gondwanaland broke up resulting in the separation of Australia from Zealandia. In the past, most of the Zealandia got subducted under the water body as a result of which the mid-oceanic ridge is present somewhere near to the coastline of Australia.
