The poem dust of snow is a great idea of Robert Frost of finding positive in negative things happening around us.

In the first stanza, the poet says that a crow (a bad sign) shook dust(unimportant waste thing) on him through a Hemlock tree(again a doom ). So, overall he had so many sad signs that he thought his day will be not a good one.

In the second stanza, he takes a U-turn in his tone and says that the feel of snow showering on him gave him a pampering and happy feeling. Hence, the same instance made his day.
