METAL:-
1.Metals are solid at room temperature.
2. They are sonorous.
3. Generally malleable and ductile.
4. They are good conductors of electricity.
5. They conduct heat.
6. They are lustrous.
NON METALS :-
1. Non metals occur in all three states namely solid, liquid and gaseous.
2. They are non sonorous.
3. They are brittle.
4. They do not conduct electricity.
5. They do not conduct heat.
6. They are non lustrous.

METALS
—————
Properties : -
⭐Physical state : Metals are solids,except mercury(which is liquid).

⭐Melting and boiling point : Metals generally have high melting point and boiling point.

⭐Density : Metals have high density.

⭐Hardness : Metals are hard with exceptions of sodium(Na) and potassium(K).

⭐Lustre : Metals possess a natural shine.

⭐Malleability : Metals are malleable. They can be beaten into thin sheets.

NON-METALS
————————
Properties : -
⭐Physical : Non-metals may be solid, liquid or gaseous.

⭐Melting and boiling point : Non-metals generally have low melting point and boiling point.

⭐Density : Non-metals have low density.

⭐Hardness : Non-metals are not hard, except diamond.

⭐Lustre : Non-metals have a dull appearance.But Iodine is the only non-metal which has a lustre.

⭐Malleability : Non-metals are not malleable. They are brittle. They break into pieces on being harmed.
