Volume of rectangular vessel = l × b × h

=5000 cm³
So, to find the remaining portion =
volume of rectangular vessel - volume of cubic vessel
= 5000 - 1000 cm³
= 4000 cm³
we know that,

so, 4000cm³ = 4l
