vikram seth is a poet and novelist born on 20 june 1952 in kolkatta. his mothers name is leila seth and fathers name is prem seth. he has written several novels and poetry books. he has received awards like padma shri, sahitya akademi award,pravasi bharatiya samman, WH smith literary award and crossword book award. he had written THe golden gate, a suitable boy, an equel music, a suitable girl this were his noable novels.
