Acid radicals are anions which are derived from acid and basic radicals are cations which are derived from base and the combination of acid and basic radicals results in a product which is termed as salt.

For example NaCl is a salt, here Cl (Cl-) is acid radical derived from acid like HCl and Na (Na+) is basic radical derived from base like NaOH. .
