the places are UP, MP and some parts of Bihar and Maharashtra and Gujarat also and it is the most fertile soil than any other soil

Alluvial soil is found in the deltas of rivers like Mahanadi, Godavari, Krishna and Kaveri, on the eastern coastal plains.

Features of the alluvial soil are:-

It contains different proportion of sand, silt and clay.

It is very fertile and good for growth of wheat,paddy,sugar cane,pulses etc.

It contain right proportion of potash,lime and phosphoric acid.

In drier regions like Rajasthan, it is alkaline and require proper treatment for irrigation.
