Each and every DOS command works on syntax.

Without them, the command fails. RD command is used to delete or remove a directory under DOS.

The syntax for RD Command is RD [/S] [/Q]  [drive:]path.

The /S removes the directory tree and /Q removes the dietary tree without approval or confirmation.
