there are two types of respiration
Aerobic and anaerobic respiration...
Aerobic means with air. the respiration which uses oxygen is called aerobic respiration. in aerobic respiration the food in the form of glucose is completely broken down into carbon dioxide and water in by oxidation. this stored energy in the form of ATP molecule.....
......
Anaerobic means without air. the respiration which takes place without oxygen is called anaerobic respiration. the micfoscopic organisms like yeast and some bacteria obtain energy by anaerobic respiration.....and micro-organisms break down food into ethyl alcohol and carbon dioxide and release energy.
