A concave mirror is a form of curved mirror which is bulging inward. It helps give a magnified image as well as used in reflecting telescopes.

Concave mirrors are used in hospitals for the following purposes:

(i) Used in microscopes for collection of light from the lamp.

(ii) Guide the pathway as they magnify the image by reflecting light outward.

(iii) Security purposes.

(iv) Used during operation to reflect light.
