The format of writing an email is not very complex. We have to keep in mind few points to write an email. Here are some of the things that will be required while writing a formal email.
Formal emails are written in a short and concise manner and that's why it doesn't include a lot of less important information. It should be written to the point.
- The first thing is the subject line. It appears as the preview on the device of the reader. It should be clear and short and should be able to convey the purpose of the mail.
- The second is salutations, it should be kept formal. The most accepted salutations are Dear Sir/ Madam, etc.
- The third part is the introduction. In this the sender gives a brief and a formal introduction about themselves.
- The fourth part is the body of an email. It is the part where we would elaborate the purpose of sending of the mail. It should not be very lengthy and should be concise.
- The last part is the closing of an email. It should include formal remarks like Yours sincerely or Thanking You, etc.
- If we follow all these steps we can write a good formal email.
