Give the details of buses on the motherboard
Answers
The Central Processing Unit or CPU moves data around the computer on pathways called 'buses' which interconnect it to all the other components on the motherboard. Data is carried within the motherboard by the internal bus. Data is carried to the peripherals and other devices attached to the computer by the external buses.
All computers have three fundamental buses. They are:
Control bus
It manages the activity in the system. It prevents data from going to the wrong place.
Data bus
It acts as a conduit for data from memory, keyboard and other devices. Information is passed at a speed of billions of characters per second.
Address bus
It is necessary for the computer to access every character of memory rapidly. Therefore every character is assigned an address number. When the central processor specifies the address it wants to read or write the address bus carries the information to the memory controller circuit which finds and fetches the information.
