Small intestine and large intestine have following differences.
Explanation:
1. Absorption of fats ,protein,
carbohydrate take place in the small
intestine.
2. Absorption of some water and
drugs take place in large intestine.
3. Small intestine has three parts
duodenum, jejunum and ileum.
4. Large intestine is divided into
caecum,colon and rectum.

  3. Small intestine is narrow in width of around 3.5 – 4.5 cm.
  4. Villi is present in small intestine.
  5. Small intestine has three parts, jejunum, duodenum and ileum.

Large intestine:-

  1. Large intestine does not play any role in digestion.
  2. It is measured around 1.5 m in size.
  3. Large intestine has width of around 4 – 6 cm in diameter.
  4. Villi is absent in large intestine.
  5. Large intestine has four parts, which are, rectum, colon, caecum and anal canal.

Therefore, these were the differences between small intestine and large intestine.
