Some Examples Of capillarity :-

Kerosene lamps glows due to burning of kerosene which rises to the top of the wick through narrow space between the threads of fibre of the wick.

When a piece of bottling paper is kept oan an,the ink drop rises upto paper through the pores by capillary action.

Due to capillary action, the water and sap(in tree and plant ) rises up to stem and leaves through the fine pores of the hair root.

Molten wax in candle rises of the wick by capillary action.

Action of towel in soaking up water from the body is due to capillary action of cotton in the towel.
