Give the Gay Lussac Law of Combining Volumes.
Explain it in your own words.
Write the answer as an assignment.
(Like do mention the year in which it was given, it's statement, a few examples).
Thanks :-)

Gay Lussac's Law of Combining Volumes
→It states that the chemical reaction in which the gaseous reactants combine together to form one or more gaseous products, the ratio of the volumes of reactants and products will be in the whole number ratio.
Examples-
H2 + Cl2 → 2HCl
1vol. 1vol. 2vol.
⇒ 1 volumes of hydrogen combine with 1 volume of chlorine to form 2 volume of hydrochloric acid
2H2(g) + O2(g) → 2H2O(g)
2 vols. 1 vol. 2 vols.
⇒2 volumes of hydrogen combine with 1 volume of oxygen to form 2 volumes of steam.
This law was given by Joseph Louis Gay-Lussac in 1808.

Gay Lussac Law of Combining Volumes
■When gases react together to form other gases, and all volumes are measured at the same temperature and pressure, the ratio between the volumes of the reactant gases and the products can be expressed in simple whole numbers.
For example:
■One volume of H2 (g) combines with one volume of Cl2 (g) to give 2 volumes of HCl gas.
Ratio of volumes is 1 :1 : 2
■It has been observed experimentally that 1 volume of nitrogen combines with 3 volumes of hydrogen to get 2 volume of ammonia gas.
Another example is;
2 H2(g) + O2 (g) →2 H2O .
More Information:-
●Discovered in 1808 by Joseph-louis Gay Lussac
●He had previously (1805) established that hydrogen and oxygen combine by volume in the ratio 2:1 to form water.
