Under a cindition of free fall the direction the accelaration of body will be downward or towards the centre of earth and the magnitude of the accearation will be equal to the acvelaration due to gravity which is equal to 9.8 m/s^2 or approximately 10m/s^2 until it reachs to its terminal velocity because after then its accelaration will be 0 and body will moves with a constant velocity.
