Dear Sister:
I hope this letter finds you in great spirits and health. Well, I am passing my vacation by reading a classical book, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. It is a very interesting book with many moral lessons.
The writer writes about the horrifying consequences of greed, selfishness, miserliness, and apathy on a man’s life through the character of heartless Scrooge. The writer has beautifully portrayed his transformation. His meeting with the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Future is so beautiful that the reader feels as if he himself is meeting with the angels.
I really liked the book. I also learnt that the purpose of life is to give charity, mercy, forbearance, and love to the people all round us for a happy and contented life. I suggest you should also read this book.
