Give the postulates of Bohr's theory of atomic model
Answers
Answer:
Postulates of Bohr's atomic model
In 1931, Neils Bohr overcame the limitation of Rutherford's model of an atom. The following are the postulates of Bohr's atomic model...
Explanation:
1) Only certain orbits known as discrete or individual orbits are allowed inside an atom.
2) These discrete orbits are known as shells or energy levels and are represented by letters (K,L,M,N) or numbers (1,2,3,4).
3) While revolving around the orbits, the electrons radiate energy.
4) The distribution of electrons in each shell is given by where n= shell number.
5) The outermost shell can have upto 8 electrons only/
6) Electrons lose energy in the form of radiations which moving from one orbit to the other.
Higher orbit to lower orbit= Electrons emit energy
Lower orbit to higher orbit= Electrons absorb energy
Hope its clear!!
Plz mark me as BRAINLIEST if u think my answer is ryt....
The Bohr model postulates that electrons orbit the nucleus at fixed energy levels. Orbits further from the nucleus exist at higher energy levels. When electrons return to a lower energy level, they emit energy in the form of light.
