give the reason for the following?
(a). solid sodium chloride does not conduct electricity while sodium chloride solution conduct .
(b) it is not safe to carry out electrical repairs outdoors during a heavy downpour.

Explanation:

a) solid sodium chloride does not have free ions or molecules to conduct electricity where as sodium chloride in aqueous solution conduct electricity

b) this is because rain water contains dissolved salt and the electrician can get a electric shock
