Answer:

hello.

Without getting into the debate regarding the existence of God etc. I will briefly address the growth of Christianity from a few followers in ancient Israel to being the world’s largest religion. With almost one third of the world’s population being at least nominally affiliated with Christianity.

With almost one third of the world’s population being at least nominally affiliated with Christianity.Starting off as largely as an ‘underground Church’ with the message being spread by the apostles. After initial persecution by a combination of the Roman Empire and Jewish religious authorities and the subsequent dispersal of believers. The Church managed to hang on until the 4th Century until it was tolerated and eventually accepted by the Roman Empire. This led to the widespread transition of many former pagans (worshipped other gods) to Christianity. There has also been an intrinsic historical link in many countries between the Church and state due to the legacy of ‘one Caesar and one God’.
