Please try to do them both at least once so you understand it and won't have trouble in the future. Please and Thank You. Answers are down with the explanation.

Step-by-step explanation:

Okay, so to find area you must multiply Length x Width. In this case its 20 m and 15 m. And if u add 2.5 and 2.5 to 15 and get 20 you can multiply 20 by 20 and get 400 (the reason you can add 2.5 + 2.5 = 5 to 15 to get 20 is because even if you split 2.5 with 20 m and 15 m it would be the same value just harder to multiply than 20 x 20). So it should look like this

Make sure to add the Flower bed (2.5) and the Grassy path (2.5) to 15 that way you can make 20

2.5 + 2.5 = 5.0 or 5

5m + 15m = 20m

20m x 20m = 400m

Okay, Problem 2

So First to find the area which we know the cloth is 10 m by 5 m, so as I said before you just multiply Length x Width, so I should be 10m x 5m = 50m

Now to find the percent we know the total area of the cloth is 50m and it shrunk 5 percent, First you find the Part / Whole, and percent. Lastly you just multiply 50 by 5 which is 250 and then divide it by 100 then you get 2.5%

   Part----> 2.5 =   5 <---Percent                                            Part = Percent

whole---->  50 = 100<--- Out of 100 Percent                          Whole = 100
