Let the salary of Abhijit be x.

Given that Abhijit spends 30% of his salary on house rent.

= > Expenditure on house rent = x * (30/100)

                                                    = 0.3x.

Given that 30% of the rest on his children's education.

= > Expenditure on Children's education = 0.7x * (30/100)

                                                                    = 0.21x.

Given that 24% of his salary on others.

= > x * (24/100)

= > 24x/100

= > 0.24x.

Given Earnings of Abhijit = 17500.

= > x - (0.3x + 0.21x + 0.24x) = 17500

= > x - (0.75x) = 17500

= > x(1 - 0.75) = 17500

= > x(0.25) = 17500

= > x = 17500/0.25

= > x = 70000.

Therefore the salary of Abhijit = 70000.

Hope this helps!
