Three remarks given by William Adams in his report to britishers on vernacular education in india were-

  • He stated that the classes were not taking place correctly. the classes were arranged under banyan trees, near temples, and worshipping places.
  • There was no particular syllabus for the students to study from. the teachers used to teach whatever they liked. So there was a need to establish particular curriculum for the students.
  • Most of the classrooms that were present at that time lacked proper seating arrangements. There were no benches and chairs for the students.
